My humble NYE
I know I know.. It's January the 4th already! Woops!Hope you all had a wonderful new year's eve with your loved ones and an amazing start to the year. It was Pharao's birthday on new years eve so what better way to start the day with a birthday lunch at Smoking Goat? I got ready and took a obligatory NYE selfie.Top from Aritzia, earrings from Whistles
Smoking goat is kind of hidden just behind Tottenham Court Road. The restaurant focuses on thai bbq and the reviews I read prior to visiting were pretty amazing. The birthday kid! Mr. Hat called from NYC and we all waved hi!We ate from their set menu so were given two starters, two mains and one dessert. Smoked Aubergine Salad with soft boiled egg & chilli - SPICY (for babies like me..) and mussels to start with Mussels! Yum Fish with lots and lots of spices Papaya saladPork and curry. By this point I had stuffed myself with sticky rice so I only tasted a teeny tiny bitThe waitress came in with dessert, I spotted the candle and started scream/singing happy birthday and the entire restaurant (!) joined in :):):)Pretty sure, and hope, that Pharao had an amazing birthday! Smoking Goat is a great venue for larger groups of foodies. We ended up with 4 boxes of leftover food, a very good sign! The service was great, good value for money and the vibe in the restaurant was relaxed but fun.
In the evening me and G watched Modern Family, attended church and watched more Modern Family. It was a quiet and relaxing nye to say the least. Next year I'd like to be abroad.. Either another city in europe, a beach or ski slope!
How was your NYE? Tell me! Puss! (Kiss in swedish)
