Dinner at Lil Frankies', dessert at The Juicy Spot and cocktail at The Blind Barbers
Oh what a perfect evening in NYC. Ariel took us to Lil Frankie's, a affordable, cash only italian restaurant in East Village. It is a sibling to Franks, Sauce and Supper. We arrived and our waiter took us to our table in a dark lit, loud restaurant. They serve pretty classic italian dishes. We ordered bruschetta, kale caesar salad and and a pizza to share. Katie <3 Ariel <3 and me The food was absolutely amazing and I can see why every single seat was taken. After dinner Cameron who joined us during dinner recommended the Juicy Spot for dessert. Cringy name but we trusted him! I ordered a Cookie Butter ice cream.. This particular ice cream is usually known as stir-fried ice cream and was first popularised in Thailand. Juicy spot debuted the first cafe back in July 2015 and well, they've done good. They make the ice cream rolls in front of you. From scratch. Literally. Roll it up! Look at that beauty!! Team! After our extremely filling ice cream we decided to finish our evening at the Blind Barber, a barber shop with a hidden bar at the back. We found a quiet room and spent the next hour or so chatting away. It gets super super busy so go in the early evening or reserve a table to get seats. The music was a mix between old school hip hop and house!
