My current skincare favourites

Here are some of my current skincare faves! There are a couple of "old" brands and a couple of new ones I've recently discovered.

Let's start with this new addition to my collection. I came across The Ordinary on Caroline Hirons blog (no surprise there!) and was absolutely stunned by the price. These two serums are priced at £5 and £6?! I just don't understand how they can create these amazing serums for that price. But hey, I'm not complaining.

I've been using the Hyaluronic Acid when my skin feels dehydrated and Niacinamide (also referred to as Vitamin B3) on a daily basis. Hyaluronic is basically like water for your skin. It is moisture binding, helps reduce wrinkles and also when sunburnt. Niacinamide is mattifying, oil regulating and improves hyperpigmentation. Basically, I want all of that all the time.

I also got the Natural Moisturising Factors with HA which is an overall good day cream. It is made up of loads of good acids and other stuff found naturally in the skin. It is non-greasy and provides a great overall protection. So far so good!

Next up is the Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleep Mask from The Body Shop (tip, I bought this from TK Maxx on sale!). It is a gel like mask that feels like a serum once applied. It says to leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse but I use it as a night cream. Very very good.

The drops of youth serum is also a new fave of mine. It glides on like water and my skin feels very hydrated after! Next to it is the James Read express mask tan for the face. Oh boy does this work? I learnt that the hard way. You apply it as a face mask, leave it on for 20-30 min and then rinse off. During the next couple of hours the most natural tan will appear from nowhere - but do make sure to cover all areas of your face... :)

Lastly, and barely pictured I just realised, is the Clearasil Rapid Action pads. I use these if I've got some angry spots visiting. I remove my makeup and wash my face and just before toning my face I use these. They dry out your skin so do use a moisturising serum/cream after!

Do you have any favourites? I'm always on the lookout for more products to add, haha!
