What we did, saw and ate in Agadir, Morocco

I think I’ve officially passed holiday blues, so much so that I am ok to write about our amazing and relaxing holiday in Agadir, south west of Morocco.

We booked our holiday with Voyage Privé, a travel agency that specialises in high quality/luxury holidays for a very good price. Our only requirements was basically sun, gym and pool.

We ended up booking Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort, a 5-star resort right by the beach.
On arrival Voyage Privé had arranged a private transfer to our hotel and once there we checked in, got a lovely upgrade to a romantic suite and settled in quickly before having our one of many delicious dinners.

As well as private transfers we got Half Board included in our deal, meaning breakfast and dinner every day of our stay - absolute win.

Above is a regular plate. Cous cous and just a variety of meats, sauces and veggies.
After our first night we woke up early and were greeted by this view:

Not too shabby! We popped down to the restaurant and had breakfast and a quick tour of the hotel before being picked up by Argan Palace!

Before we travelled I made a pretty extensive document of things to do/eat/see and we ticked off about two items.. That’s basically how lazy (relaxed) we were!

I’ve always been quite curious to see what Hammam is, so googled my way to find Argan Palace and booked the “oriental couples treatment” package, to celebrate our anniversary.
We were picked up by a driver who took us to the “palace” which was in a residential area of Agadir. Upon arrival we “checked in”, had a lovely mint tea and shown to a different house where the treatment was taking place.
We both got naked (wore swimwear) and laid down on very very hot stone benches inside a sauna before two women scrubbed us like we’ve never been scrubbed before. After the intense full body scrub we were washed before they put a clay mask all over us and let us sit there for 10 minutes. G was struggling a little bit with the heat but I quite enjoyed myself and thought about how smooth I’d be after!
After the treatment we got a water bottle each (needed!) and then we popped to a different room for an hours full body massage - with locally produced argan oil.
It’s safe to say we were both incredibly relaxed after!

We met the owner of Argan Palace shortly after and he took us the shop where they produce argan oil and other skin products and foods - yes, I went a bit nuts with the skincare..

Now, why such a write up about Argan Palace? Well.. we didn’t do much else!! I’ll post all of my outfits separately but as of Agadir.. We enjoyed our resort far too much to leave it tbh.

The remainder of our holiday looked like this:

I definitely want to go back to Morocco after this trip and highly recommend Agadir for a relaxing holiday! Any questions just email/dm me :)
